Ok, I saw the Cobra intakes on ebay for about $380 and it came with all the hardware and gaskets.. The Cobra intake flows just as well as the Typhoon or Trick Flow?? I can spend more, I just want to get a good flowing intake to increase power from idle-5500 RPM.. 1.7's are going on at the same time, keep that in mind.. So should I get the cobra intake?

Edit: What is the difference between the Cobra and the GT-40 intakes? On ebay they say GT-40/Cobra Intake 5.0L .. Are they the same thing?

Vfast..Blah!...the cobra intake does not flow as good as the trickflows and typhoon. Its obvious just from looking at it bro!. Its a improvment from the stock 5.0 one, but not as good as the TF's and typhoon.

That is what I was thinking.. I have seen a lot of people with them at the track, but I see a lot more with the TF's and other after market intakes.. I hear that the cobra is not that much better than the HO intake.. I am thinking about going with the TF just because it seems to be the most common upon big power cars, are they Street legal?

Does the Street Heat and Typhoon have the EGR ports on them and stuff? This car must stay emissions legal.

vfast, I had the Pro products T/B and it gave me problems with idle and it had quality issues with the throttle return spring. After installing the Edelbrock T/B is was smooth runnings again.

The intake has NO moving parts and mine didn't need gasket matching, the T/B is another story, so before you say I make no sense, ask first.

I didn't want to spend money on another T/B but I had no choice.

I had to get the egr spacer with my TF street heat intake. Im not sure about the typhoon, but i think u need one for them too. I got a BBk70mm tb and egr, granatelli 75mm MAF and its great with the street heat...and it comes with a carb# for emissions.

Yes I have the spacer, it does allow for as much heat transfer to the upper intake, therefor the air is cooler when it get to the cylinder, cooler air is more power.
