Default Typhoon vs. Trickflow

I am considering getting a new intake next week, I have heard a lot of good things about both the trick flow and the Typhoon intake, compared the the Edelbrock intakes. I was curious, which one would be better? I am looking for the best intake upper/lower for my 91 GT.. I want to keep it under $450.00 Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I picked up a typhoon(upper and lower) off of ebay for 250.00 and i got my throttle body from Edelbrock. My car runs pretty strong, much better than stock.

I love it, now some people swear by the trickflow, but let your budget be your guide.

Awesome, I can get a polished Typhoon from a local speed shop for $340.00 or something like that.. Will look good, so it performs good too huh? Am thinking about getting 1.7's at the same time.

Do you think this manifold would out flow a Cobra intake??

I also have the Typhoon, the only thing you need to do is "gasket matching". The Typhoon does not always come with all the ports shaped the way they should be. Mine was mainly in the corners or the ports. To solve this, you put the gasket on the ports and mark any part of the port that is smaller than the gasket. Once marked, use a grinder to grind away the marked areas.

You also neeed to consider the extra cost of gaskets and injector o-rings, maybe even an adjustable fuel regulator while you're in there
?

Well I am sure that the o-rings cant be more than 20 bux or so, and yea I know about the gasket matching.. So it will outflow a Cobra intake? Cool... I was interested in one of those too, but I would rather pay for a well flowing intake.. Wow, quite a few of you have the Typhoon intake. I hear it is supposed to be one of the best, I wanted to see what you guys suggested/thought. Yes I am going to get a fuel pressure Reg. soon.. I just have to wait for the funds to roll in... Will keep you updated.

What have you heard about the BBK SSI?

I think the street heat trick flow intake is around $450. But the gasket matching thing with the typhoon is the only drawback ive heard about. Trickflow will always be worth it.
