Default installing heads quesion

im getting new heads and i was wondering if i should take it too a stop to do it or if i should do it, my friend has installed new heads before and im pretty car handy to but not as much as he is, so is it worth the money to get it done at the place or should i attempt it?and are there any no no's when installing them to watch out for?

make sure you mount the heads on the correct side...

all hell will break loose if you mount the right head on the left side!

You gotta start somwhere.

Do you have a torque wrench?

Watch the gaskets. Make sure you put the TOP side up. If you get them backwards you may overheat and break you new heads.

It is I would say an intermediate level mechanics job... Mark everything and triple check your work at every step and you should be ok. Pay attention to detail. If you have never done it before get the book or have someone who has come over and help.

Make sure you set the rockers right, you have to tighten them under load
