RE: A/C Delete
i think its illegal to discharge the system yourself but im pretty sure its just like taking air out of a tire .. you just push in the valve on the compressor .. but like i said its illegal and toxic .. be careful or just take it to your local mechanic

Sure you can release it into the air it's illegal too and I sure as heck wouldn't post on here that that's what you did....just take it to a shop and it won't be that expensive to reclaim it.....this is why there are so many holes in the ozone cause people just spray that stuff around like it's hairspray!!!

you guys are funny. 134 refigerant is ozone friendly. it lacks what R-12 use to have chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's)which depletes ozone. BTW, hair sprays and aerosols don't have CFC's anymore. go check your spray cans and on the bottom it will have a little logo that says "CFC's" with a strike through it. it is illegal to discharge a/cin the open air. but thats because the law was passed on the basis of R-12. now the R-134 around its ok to do it....just dont tell anyone because it is still illegal. lol. not to mention dangerous which is why im assuming thats why they left it illegal. most tech manuals....at least older ones....when it talks about a/c says "refer to certified shop tech." haha. just cut you refrigerant hose with long hedge clippers and watch the show after you run away.....its what i did!
