Default Decreasing Compression

How would I go about decreasing the compression of my motor to be able to run a turbo kit? I have a built 308 with 10.5:1 compression.Would I have to buy all new stuff? Also, what is a good single turbo kit?

Heads with big combustion chambers would be easiest
and sell the heads you have now.

single kits.

If you have a 61cc TFS TW head now, your best bet would be to go with a 70cc Vic. Jr.

Even if you can bring the compression down a whole point you'd still be at 9.5:1. If you don't want to tear into the shortblock, you could get a custom cam ground that has a really late intake valve closing point. That'll bring your dynamic(actual) compression way down so it can safely run good boost levels. It'd work good with a turbo setup that boosts at low rpm or something like a KB, the boost pressure will help to pickup the power you lose from a late intake valve closing at low rpm. Otherwise you'll need to get different pistons or run race fuel to get any boost that makes a blower worth the money
