Intake question
Ok I don't know that much about mustangs because I am really a GM guy. I owned an ls1 camaro for about 2 years until I had to sell it recently, couldn't afford it any more. Now I have the opportunity to buy a 90 5.0 vert for around 3,000 from a family member. The car is pretty modded I believe it will run somewhere between mid and high 13's. The mods for it are in the sig.
Now here's the question, the first thing I am going to buy for it is an intake. I like the polished look but haven't been able to find any that look good, so I am exploring other options. I have narrowed it down to the bbk intake, the rpmII, and the trick flow intake the black one. I really like the way the bbk and the trick flow look, is any of the three better than the other? I want something that looks good but my main goal is performance, so if anyone knows if there are big with these or if any would be the better choice please reply, and thanks.

RE: First Mustang have some questions
The BBK SSI intake is new on the scene and according to MMFF its one of the best. They state that they gained 35hp (pretty sure rwhp) on a bolt on motor. Thats pretty damn good for just an intake.
I like the BBK one also because for only 579 it also comes with a FPR and Fuel Rails, awesome deal. I think it also looks better than all of the other manifolds by far.

No problem, btw, MMFF is a great mag, they do a lot of product reviews and such. The 5.0 mustang mag is geared more towards race coverage and such whereas MMFF (muscle mustangs and fast fords) is geared more towards modification.

RE: First Mustang have some questions
go with the trickflow intake, i have the trickflow "R" series, and i it works great, dont get the RPMII i dont know what u have done to ur car, but by the sound u dont have much, n thats too much intake for a slightly modded car unless u have heads with bigger valves n all that. id say go with the trickflow street heat intake. best for the money

i like the looks of the bbk intake, but it is a bit much on the wallet..... i got the trick flow because i thought it was the best bang for the buck...

RE: First Mustang have some questions
yeah it includes the high flow fuel rails, and its upper and lower intake, I think the trick flow is just upper I may be wrong though. Any way I don't mind spending the 600 for it. By the way I have an e303 cam and I plan to buy some gt40 heads.
