Default TPS?

what exactly does a tps do? would it make the car run bad if its set to more than .99?why does it have to be set at .98 or .99?NEED INFO

to high or to low is bad. ot hight youll get backfires after you let off. it sends a signal to hte ecu to help with air/fuel

the tps tells the ecu where the throttle is, then the ecu sends the corisponding message to the injectors to add fuel to match the throttle position.
