Default MAC Coated Unequal Length Shorty Headers -- any good?

Seems pretty cheapy for $145 shipped. Are they total junk?

They're the 1 5/8" shorty variety, btw. If they're totally worthless, I won't even bother..

Edit--

Eh, nevermind. They look pretty lame to me. I'll just wait and get some ceramic-coated headers.

I just recently got some MAC ceramic coated unequal length shorties and they fit great. Fast Toys Performance posted in this forum about a summer blowout a few weeks ago and had really great prices on the MAC products.

They are not complete crap
They make nice door stops
The last set I installed only took 6 hours and 4 gasket sets but they they "worked"
(doubling up on the gaskets finaly fixed the leaks...really)
The last car I bought with them on, I took them off and gave them away
Def. worth it for free I suppose...
But I wouldn't touch them...even for free

Although some have not had install issues with MAC headers, far, far, more have had problems.

I'd have to recommend passing on these

I have to agree with slick... you are better off with a set of BBK's... they slide right in

Yup, I think I'll ditch the thought of the MAC headers and just wait for something better. BBK Shorty (ceramic coated) headers can be had for ~$299

Thanks.
