Default Short Block

I was wondering if anyone knew of anyplace to get a short block CHEAP. Cheap being the key word. I'm looking to spend under $1600 on the shortblock.

I've seen cheap ones on ebay for around $700 plus shipping and then it jumps to around $2000 with all forged internals. I don't need a race engine just something that isn't going to fall apart

Have looked into a local engine builder rebuilding your motor? That might be more reasonable than a mail order block. Like Itsslow said check out fordstrokers or give Woody a call; he owns the company.
