Default recent idle problem

i got my maf hooked back up and on a cold start or after the car has been sitting for a couple of hrs, it revs to 2 grand stay for like 2 min then drops to normal. today i start it, much colder this morning, it stayed at 2-2500 during my whole 25min drive. i was on the highway and when i got off it was still holding high. is that due to the tps not set properly. i didnt notice any vacuum leaks.

this might be a dumb solution, but posibly your iac might be dirty and to check your tps.

yea when i had the intake off the gasket kit came with a new iac gasket so i figured to check it.but then again it could be bad. i know the tps is not set right i have to do an idle relearn i think. im also gonna go cut one of those wires off another car for the temp sensor wire.

the fact that the idle comes up at all says the IAC is good.... but the engine temperature will be directly in control of how far the ECU opens the IAC... so your IAC is NOT the problem...

check your coolant temp sensor

i dont think so. it should be on the d/s in the front of the intake. it was just the wires is messed up on mine. i figured thats what it was.

it should be in front of the #1 intake runner.... PASSENGER SIDE\

if you messed up the one on the drivers side, thats the ACT - air charge temp sensor
