The more cubes, the closer you will come to 11's, all else being equal.

man you guys.. lol... look the 396 is a 351 winsor (5.8) with a stroker. the 347 is a 302 (5.0) with stroker. id get the 347 because its a 5.0 block. a 396 stroker kit WILL NOT fit into a 302 block, and a 351 block isnt street leagle in a fox body mustang and you might want to consider a few things, Is the 396 just a stroker kit? or an actual short block with the bearings, rods, pistons, 351 block, ect? and remember if it is a short block where are you going to get the heads?? it wouldnt be smart to reuse the 5.0 heads... what about the intake?? the headers?? answer these questions first. if immisions and monie arnt a concern for you id go with the 396 anyday!! the 351 can take waaay more power then the 302 and lets face it, theres no replacement for displacement. but the swap will end up costing you a fourtion...trust me.. it would be cheaper to buy the 347 stroker kit. you can put it in the motor you already have, you can reuse ALL the factorie stuff, and you will keep it stree leagle... the 347 is good for 11's if you have the right setup. and how cool would it be to tell the chevy guys that its only a little 302..heee heeee
