Default 351 in my hatch (yes ive searched)

Well ive been doing alot of research on what i really wanna do with my car. At first i was gonna go with a 331 stroker and save for a charger later on. Somehow I was conviced to do a 351 swap (always thought it was too expensive but i was wrong). Ive been reading up on the swap and stuff and found a really great website on it and stuff but ive got a few more questions.

1. I know im gonna need a larger cowl hood but what sizes will work. (btw the car will be fuel injected)
2. What vehicles can i get a 351w block out of and how much should i expect to spend on just the block (no rotating assembly).
3.Since I will be rebuilding the block what should i have done to the block as far as prep?
4. I dont want to go with a stroker so thats outta the question, but while on summit racing i couldnt decide which rebuild kit to go with. Here is the link to the page of all the rebuild kits.....rebuild kits.

additional info: i plan to use most of the ford racing swap stuff with trick flow intake and heads not sure what cam yet. The only think im having trouble deciding on is to get short or long tube headers. Also the block i wanna pick up will have to be one that had the roller cam and not the older style.

thanks in advance guys

2. What vehicles can i get a 351w block out of and how much should i expect to spend on just the block (no rotating assembly). get the block form adder all ready machined will save you big time.

3.Since I will be rebuilding the block what should i have done to the block as far as prep? Nothing if you buy adders

4. I dont want to go with a stroker so thats outta the question, but while on summit racing i couldnt decide which rebuild kit to go with. Here is the link to the page of all the rebuild kits.....rebuild kits. -just buy a stock crank, and some forged rods, and forged pistons. and clevitt 77 bearings

additional info: i plan to use most of the ford racing swap stuff with trick flow intake and heads not sure what cam yet. The only think im having trouble deciding on is to get short or long tube headers. Also the block i wanna pick up will have to be one that had the roller cam and not the older style. get a 69-70 block, they are stronger. U can use conversion lifers and use a roller cam if you need to. Longtubes for the win, and h-pipe. get a better head than trickflow unless they are the twisted wedge heads stage 3, and a nice intake and cam setup by jay at www.camshaftinnovations.com (is possible get a h/c/i from him)

thanks in advance guys

1994 and newer will be roller cam block.

I'm happy with my CompCams XFI 236HR-14 cam in my roller 351W.

Get Longtubes 100%, shorties will choke power past 5,500 rpms.

all 69 blocks are RARE and the STRONGEST ford stock block. to give you an idea i drove 6hrs one way to get my standard bore 69 block.

A T5 will be fine, as long as your not beatig on it... oherwise you should look into a TKO, tremec 3550, or a built automatic

suspension stuff will bring up a completely different conversation.. and I just simply dont have the time, patience, or the space to put it all on here... right now.. lol
