I have an 83 Mustang GT and I've been lookin to get a whole brand new exhaust system. The problem is that all the exhaust that I see are for 86 and newer Mustangs. Do these exhaust systems work on 83's or do I have to piece together my own headers, midpipe, mufflers, etc? thanx

if you get a double hump crossmember for your tranny, you will be able to run a 86+ exhaust

Well, that's the thing.. Before I got the car, it had an automatic tranny in it, was changed to a T5, and its a single hump, so one of the exhaust pipes has to go under that so it bends lower to the ground.... could the double hump be put in with now problems? Or would I have to do some fabrication on my own?

you can bolt in an 86+ crossmember.... which is a double hump
