Default new car with problem

im a new owner of a 91 gt and when i bought they said the clutch was out but ill see what you guys think.
the clutch pedal is there and feels firm and when you would go to put it in gear and let the clutch out nothing happens it doesnt even lurch forward or anything. i just need to know if theres anything that i should look at before i go an order a new clutch?

thanks for any help

put your nose under there and smell, look for alot of clutch material.

Sounds weird to me, though the car is not doing anything when you put it in GEAR.

take the tranny out before you order ANYTHING... because you might need a new flywheel also... wouldnt it be nice to just order everything at once?
