well, my t-5 finally broke after only a year and mabye 2500kms of abuse, it was a brand new ford racing t-5z which is just a tremec t-5.

well, its time for a different trans now, does anyone out there have a g-force t-5 or one from astro performance?

what would make me quicker, a c-4 or the 5 speed? its a drag only car that i drive to the track with a built 347 with some nitrous.

if I do chose the automatic, will my driveshaft still work, or will it need to be resized? I know I will need a convertor, shifter and flexplate, but is there anything else I might need?

I would go with the c4 because it would make you quicker and I beleve you do need a new driveshaft because the c4 is shorter then the t-5

I had to get it towed back, the teeth kept trying to jam it up

An auto will not neccesarily make you quicker but maybe more consistant. I would suggest the TKO 600. I use one and love it.

IMHO those who race with sticks have much bigger huevos

sure an auto will make you more constant, and maybe a quarter of a tenth faster, but IMO automatics take all the fun out of driving a car

I agree auto's are not fun. And a auto will rob more power than a manual.

I think a car with an auto is just as much fun as a car with a stick. Going fast is fun no matter what kind of trans your using.

No, i havnt driven in one nor do i own one. I drive mine at local cruise's sometime's and prefer to bang gears. I have driven auto at track (not 900hp) and still prefer my TKO 600.
