diameter of a 351w lifter bore??

the 260/289/302/351w all had the same size lifter bore.

btw, the spec is .8747-.8757"

ok what i am really aim for here is, will lifters from a 302 (roller) work in a non-roller 351w?
No they will not
they will fit, but they will not work. you would have to find a way to adapt a spider into the lifter valley to keep the roller lifters from spinning in the bores

Those should work, your gonna have to measure pushrod length with any set of heads you use with that motor though.

Yes, roller conversion lifters will work, and yeah, you're gonna need to get different pushrods(no time like the present to get some high quality ones)

I'm not sure about this but I think you need one of the 'small base circle' cams to make this work right. Comps sells them but I think they are lotsa $$$...........

also you have to have a reduced base circle cam or the lifter can pop out of there bores, or like the above pic you can use linked lifters
