Default easy mods?

ok i used to have a 86 gt but sold it now i have a 91 lx . just wondering what kinda easy low cost mods and free stuff that will ease up some hp ? i had a friend work on my last one so im not really sure where to start . its compleatly stock i just put flowmasters on it yesterday with a upr x-pipe . its got a crappy K&N on it but im gonna get a cold air intake. thanks nick

+1, cai is a waste of money. remove the air silencer from behind the intake box and leave the k&n in there. just as good as a cai but its free

the k&n isnt cold air . i used to have a bbk cold air and i like that . how do i advance the timing thanls nick

Bolt-ons might include 65mm thorttle body, UDP's, gears, headers, shifter(5spd?),shift kit(auto?)good tires( yougot to have them anyways) I had a clean K&N w/o silencer andadding aCAI was night and day differnce. Make sure the fuel filter is clean, the MAF is clean, The K&N is cleaned every 5-10K miles, the T.B is clean, the tire pressure is good, run some injector cleaner,and the igniton components are good. A solid, basic igntion uprade might include: A MSD coil, FRPP 9mm wires, Motorcraft cap & rotor along with some Motorcraft plugs.

oh yea there catless x pipe and brand new flowmasters . the K&N is a cone just the filter theres no box

I definetly would vote against the MSD coil... maybe their cap & rotor. Thats about it. Bump timing, remove air silencer & +1 to keeping the K&N filter in there.

he said there is no intake box, just a cone in the engine bay. then if getting a cai, get a cheap ebay one. dont waste the money on the big names. you already have the key component (the filter) now all you need is piping
