Default pulling the 5.0

Is there something I am forgetting? Theeng. starts to seperate from the trans. but it wont pull out. Headders off, intake off, motor mts. unbolted from the block, all ***. fromthe front removed. Clutch cable off, starter off. 6 bellhousing bolts off. 2 lower cover bolts off. Whats missing?

There are 2 locating dowels that align the bell to the block. Sometimes they stick.

Hmmm, the block pulls away from the trans. at the dowels, but will not seperate all the way. Is the fly wheel so close to the bellhousing causing this?

wait are u pulling the bellhousing with the engine or is it attached to the transmission

Also may be the TOB hanging up on the input shaft housing

Could be worn input shaft splines if it has alot of mile and hard use.

I searched and found that some say its easier to pull the eng and trans together. I think ill do that.Unless it comes out thursday with one more pull.
