Default Transmission leaking.....? UPDATED!

So I pulled out of my driveway and i saw a big wet spot......i got under my car and looked and the front right corner or the transmission pan is leaking. Could this just be a gasket or what?

Also this morning on my way to school i pulled out of the drive way in reverse and then put it in drive and it wouldnt go so i was like ****, then i tapped the gas again and it went so i didnt know and i was late for school so i just went on......what could this be?

Oh i have an AOD by the way

yea it probably is your gasket. the reason why it didn't go into gear is because u lost transmission fluid and not having it full can cause your tranny to slip. when you give them a little gas they go into gear but that is not good to do. fix that leak and then make sure it is full of tranny flluid

13.6 quarts of fluid but after doing the pan u will have to put in at least 5 because it doesn't all drain out just some of it

the whole tranny & torque converter probably takes a good case, but if you just drop the pan about 4 or 5 quarts should fill it.
