After researching i have found 19 lbs injectors are good for up to 300 hp so im not sure why i would need 24lbs injectors can some one advise why everyone suggest 24lbs injectors for a motor that is not pumping out 300 hp maybe like 260hp and what ones do i need? What injector impedance?if i did need them

You can use the 2nd choice in that link or the last choice. I used the 2nd choice for my application FMS-M-9593-A302. So far they have worked great for me. I'm putting down 290 RWHP and 310 RWTQ with my set-up.

Well got the miles on my car the shop cheacked the oil and changed it out they said everything is cool you can get on it now.Well after a week of getten on it i thought somthing was kinda knocking they told me roller rockers are noisy like a sewing machine well very next day i now have this light knock at 2200 rpms took it back to them they dropped the load on each cylinder to find out if its the top or bottom end and im sure you all know which one it is!
Man if i would have just taken your all advice i would not have this POS dss motor in my car with a bad wrist pin! Shop is real cool they will get a new one on its way monday. If i lived near DSS i would be over there in a heart beat chewing there *** out about a this BS!!!

SO in the END DSS BLOCKS SUCKS BALLLLsss!!!!!!!! Dont buy there Junk!!!

dss has had a bad rep for years...before most of you guy's even heard of them. they use outside machine prep until just recently now they have had inhouse problems from the get go.

the "other" people who sell s/b and l/b are the same price with the same concept stock block with forged internals...so dss is not the only people selling overpriced sbf engines.

i bought my motor "shortblock" in 2001 my motor see's 6500+ all the time i cut high 11's to 12.20's all day long<since my tune is way off>
my wife drives it and it's a daily driver...i have had a blown head gasket which was my fault not dss's...when i tore it down the bottom end looked like new other than #5 where the hg blew at.

just recently i found out my "24's" are about maxed out,and yes i make just shy over 300rwhp so people before you say what's what remember that it's just a guideline everybodies motor is different and 97% at 6k is pushing it. magazines/comicbooks should not be your only source of information.

so with that said i'll take my 6+yr old piece of crap dss motor anyday...granite it will be my last.

Ok so i talked with the shop they told me there pulling the motor out it has wrist pin failure and they have to send the piston back to dss and if its there fault there going to send a new piston to them??? This dont sound right to me is this the norm? shouldnt i just get a whole new motor??

I think i smell BS

I stopped by the shop and they had it apart the said it was main bearing failure due to crap in the oil the crap they showed me looked like copper/bronze the only thing in the block that is bronze are the valve guides.Does this sound like where this stuff came from ??

the copper is probably the main bearing its self. not bad mouthing anyone's stuff but this is the reason I build my own stuff. which bearing was it ? let me guess the thrust bearing?
