82' was the first year for the H.O. which meant more radical cam timing, a double roller timing chain, a dual inlet air cleaner, and traction bars.

It depends on the year Bobby, cause I got an 89 Marquis motor for my Brocno that is roller. My original 93 bronco motor was alos roller.
Difference between HO and 5.0L more horsepower and firing order. Then again in the later F-150s had a HO firing order.

The main thing between the Ho and non Ho is the cam.Yes some have rollers and others don't.Thats what makes the firing order diffrent.I am auctually running and non HO motor at the moment while rebuilding my HO.

whats the diffrence?? one sucks!!!! and the other one sucks even harder!!!!! just kidn...
really though you guys are kidn right??? you guys know that the HO has forged pistons (83-92) and the non HO's dont right?? pre 83's and non HO's have cast pistons, and post 92 HO's and non HO's have hypertunic pistons...but you knew that HO's had the better forged pistons right guys!?!?! right
