If your pedal is still hard to push down and you've already replaced everything. It could very well be the cable.

I had my cable out of the car to lube it up and noticed ONE strand that was broken. I figured I'd replace this before more broke and eventually snap. The difference is amazing. It's almost like going to a lighter clutch. If I had to put a number on it. It's like going from a 2300lbs clutch to a 2000lbs. Bought mine a Steeda.ca for $40.

As for the 80w90 gear oil. When I bought my Mustang it had gear oil in it.
Like many member believe, including myself. It was time to change to the correct fluid.
Besides taking "a slight bit" of notchiness out in the true dead cold mornings.
It shifted and worked exactly the same as it does now. The difference is minor.

I would get the gear oil out of there ASAP!

I just changed my tranny andclutch and had the same problem with the stiff pedal and rough shifting. Get an aftermarket quadrant, a firewall adjuster, and a stock replacement cable (NON-ADJUSTABLE) from Steeda! Stay away from the adjustable cables!! Just put on my steeda cable last week. GREAT quality!!! Fit perfect. Slap it on there and turn your firewall adjuster to fine tune where your clutch releases!!! My pedal is almost as soft as a hydraulic clutch and thats with a king cobra clutch..
