Hey thanks for all the reply's! I'm runing 410 gears with 25.8" tall tires with the AOD 3000 stall. I'm concerned that the motor might hit red-line 6000 rpm before the trap on the Quater Mile.
Is anyone letting there aod go into overdrive before the trap?!?

with your combo! hell naugh; that thing is gonna lauch like a rocket and keep pulling past trap.

If mine were not stick shift...I wouldn't put anything else in mine but an AOD cause I would want the overdrive feature for the street!!!! heck I even converted my 66 to a t-5 cause I wanted overdrive/needed it due to gears... a non overdrive equiped car limits you on cruising rpm's on the street

Yes,it has a B&M shift kit STG 2, ford Racing aluminum drive shaft, 255 lb.Walbro fuel pump, Pro M.80mm. mass Air cali.Custom burned Chip.AndI drive it every Day...
