Gears. At least a 3.73, if not 4.10

You don't that fuel pump unless you plan on some Nitrous or other MAJOR mods. Just a high-flo pump isn't going to give you more power.

You're take off acceleration will be MUCH better, but you'll lose steam at top end.

Your GT should already have an stock H-pipe. X-pipes flow a little better, but not that much of a deal.

As for racing, is it from a dead stop or 20mph? Gears are great, but to really use them well, you'd need a new converter with a higher stall speed to match the engines torque band. Headers also help the breathing of the motor. So many components you can buy seperately that helps a little, but to have several all together is much more noticeable.

$1200.00 dollars budget. a set of 3.73 gears, an aftermarket intake, and n.o.s. kit. i think you would be pretty happy with the results.
