Default Diagnoses to power loss?

I had attempted to do my timing a few weeks ago, when i unbolted the distrib i accidently turned it and forgot where it was before i turned it, so i put it back to where i thought it was (had no timing light don't ask!) any way the car ran fine and it felt alot more powerful so i was thinking awsome!

Next day i decide to get a timing light just to see where im at, i can't tell soo i figure let me set the timing to 14*, i do it felt like i lost power, set it to 15* no change...

Okay yesterday i decided to check my spark plugs

they were a little dirty when i took em out but they were all grey so i cleaned them and put em back in.

installed a cheap cold air intake.

sooo i start the car back up ect.

runs fine but im not feeling any of my horsepower back its pissing me off....

also when you want to advance timing which way do yo0u turn distrib i forgot and don't wanna go play with it right now cause i ain't got a timing light atm.

Turn the distributer to the right (clock wise) to advance the timing and counter-clockwise to decrease the timing...don't dick around with it right now if you don't have a timing light. You could blow your motor if you set it too high...its not hard to set it too high...just wait til you get one

well don't go any higher. your not making more power. If you want to blow your motor set it very high then

First things first.... Re-stab your dist correctly. To do this pull the #1 plug (the first one one the pass side) and put your finger over the hole. Have a buddy turn the engine over and when it blows your finger out, that means you are on compression. Now look at the timing mark and set it to 0 degrees TDC, if you passed it, then its no big deal, turn the crank clockwise with a big wrench all the way around till the mark is back at 0 degrees, then turn it once more. Do not turn the engine counter-clockwise, it will create slack in the timing chain and your timing will be off. Now you are at 0 degrees TDC on compression. Put the dist in pointing at the #1 wire. put it all together and start engine and set it at 10 degrees.
