Just curious, why the desire to go from a roller cam to flat tappet? Especially since youre only using hydraulic lifters.

I believe the lifter bore is still the same. Only difference is the taller lifters and the pushrods are a little shorter.

Well these cams have the largest power band i have seen yet for what i am doing... It would be perfect for a car that is driven daily because i wont lose the bottom end that i need around town... These cams also have different ramp rates which make them more powerful then traditional hyd. flat tappet cams... This ramp rate is also supposed to make them more reliable and streetable... If i should go with something else let me know but the hyd. flat tappets are a lot cheaper the roller and so is the cam... Please let me know if there are better cams i am still open, but need a firm decesion by the begining of march...

Hydraulic lifters are deffinately more reliable than solid lifters but it seems like you would be able to free up a few more hp if you used a roller set up. Of course, I dont really know what youre whole setup is going to be. Are you building an efi car or a carbed car? Sreet, strip or both? Every day or just a weekend ride? What I would chose would deffinatel be decided based on my situation. Im running a solid lift roller cam in my car with an 850 demon. I plan on driving it everyday for a while then stripping it down and making it strictly a strip car.

It is going to be a street/strip car... I will be driving it daily... I have a 650 holley double pumper... I have the set up for the range that the #1 cam i listed above has.. I actually could go bigger with my set up but dont want to totally ruin mpg and drivability... ohh i i can t forget reliability...

It sounds like the first cam in that list and a roller setup would probably be the best all around combo for what your trying to do.

Your Sig motor looks great, can you post a larger pic??
