should be doable, but it wont be easy, get in there with mirrors so you can see and lots of light, and make sure you get it in straight.

rubber expansion plugs FTMFW in hard to reach spots. in all seriousness the thing will most likely never leak and its easy as pie to install

^^^^Gotcha
I've never heard of rubber expansion plugs but they may work well for you.
But if you have to get a regular freeze plug more then likely you gonna at least have to jack the motor up some to give your self some room to drive the new freeze plug in.

is this the rubber expansion plug you're talking about?
is it installed the same way as the brass ones? it looks like it has a screw in the middle.. would this one be easier to install?

update:
i bought the rubber freeze plug today..
i tried getting the old freeze plug out and i basically didnt help anything.. i just puncheda big hole through it on one side..and the frame of it is still all there around the whole plug. so i decided to take the drivers side motor mount lose and i'm raising the engine up so i can see what i'm doing and hopefully get the plug out. i was told i didnt help to take the transmission lose..so i hope i'm not suppose to.
