the thing about solid cams is the ramp speed that it use.....also most solid rollers have a tighter centerline making them undisirable for the street. when you combine ramp speed and tighter centerlines the engine will rev very quickly....this can not be be done in a hyd roller as it takes time for the lifter to fill up so to speak...and the spring in the lifter can't take the ramp speed as of yet
Just another person that dont know what you are talking about .do the math on the renegade cars.8.80 151mph 373 gears with 28in tall tires stock lifters.306 cid. I am also done with this post.and like I said before I was running the wifes car to 7000 rpm with TFS heads and a F-cam.live in your world alice I will live in the real one.

uedlose why dont you do some research and prove me wrong. send me a link that says hydraulic lifters will work past 7000rpm. It doesnt prove anything that renegade class cars run in the 8's. That doesnt say anything about them reving past 7000rpm. That just says they make over 1000hp. The tachs on the fox bodys arent very accurate, so your could be off by a few 100. But you may have an autometer or what ever. Just I would love to see some article or better yet a dyno graph showing a hydrualic lifter engine reving past 7000rpm. Please, prove it!
