long tubes?

RE: long tubes?
I hear the only differences in power are noticed when you have a motor that makes good power. Longtubes are cool though. I went with shorties so I could swap my stock cats back in for DEQ but turns out I don't have to go through that anymore anyway... back to your question though... Keep in mind you are going to need a new midpipe with the longtubes also. I have BBK ceramic shorties, they lookbrand newstill, even after a year later of daily driving.

Hmmm I dunno, but if you are really set on wanting longtubes go for it and get em. Me personally I absolutely hate spending money twice, ya know? Maybe someone else has some more insight on this topicthan me?

RE: long tubes?
the more flow the more go I say get um, a well designed long tube will make more tq and hp then a shortie. They sound nice too. they will certainly gain something, and make any other mod you do even better. First thing abotu tuning, and making power is to get the engine breathing well in and out then go from there. I say go for it. If it helps you at all in makign you decision, I have a 95 gt boen stock, jsut a bbk intake and american thunder system, and im getting the headers and offroad x pipe. I want it for the extra punch of course but I really want ti just for the sound.

RE: long tubes?
I'd get a set of long tubes they require a little bit of work to get in but are doable!!! don't get the 1 3/4..... you should get the 1 5/8's and I wouldn't get the flowtech's you have to piece the right side together in 3 stages and 1 stage on the driver side....after all said and done the damn joint's leak and I had to wrap and clamp off header wrap around the joints....[:@]
