Default FPR

My fuel pressure is going nuts on my 87 5.0 one day its fine next day too low so i adjust it back up then i get to work and its too high.
Also i have noticed on cold start up its high untill its warmed up ? So i take it the pump puts out more fuel at cold start?
This is driving me nuts anyone els have this problem?

Fuel pump one year old/Edelbrock
Fuel reg is new /Holley
Fuel gauge one year old/BBK
