New to the 5.0's Help me build a street car
I would like to build a car that can run 11's on street tires and 10's on radials on pump gas. Because I am new to these motors I would like to know a good setup that can put down these numbers. What will Need to be beefed up to hold thesehp levels such as forged internals, new differentials, I was thinking forced induction but didn't know if high compression would be better. also thinking about running a bottle not shure what size though.
Im going with a efi one so I will have good tuning controll wondering what people use to tune I know the emanage is perfect for imports and was wondering if it would work with the mustang ecu. I'll run a 2 step as well so driver error won't be a super big deal. I think thats It just looking for a good reliable setup. Don't need crap like intake exhaust. Im talkin specifics like what chager that flows what at what psi what size injectors at what fp what clutch. very specific not crap like "You should get a super charger and a whole lot of NOS". It would probably take memonths of searching to find answers to these questions that someone probably knows the answers to off the top of there head. all Im asking for Is help building a fast street car don't flame me.

searched back couldn't find anything very specific just crap like is this a good super charger are these good cams stuff like that. I would like to also do this as cheaply as posible. "Cheaply" not cheap I uderstatd if you buy cheap stuff you pay with reliability. But If my goal is obtainable with a stroker and high compression pistons and nitrous as aposed to a 3 grand super charger let me know.

ya its going to be for street use mostly and at the track it will have radials. I know what you mean my buddy had a fox body and anything of 80 is scarry they definatly don't handle like the VR4. but there arn't VR4's running 6 second passes

I made my car go 11's for under 3 grand but I use real tires at the track. I'd never want to be going that fast at the track on street tires. It just isn't safe.

Zach what gears do you run? And aren't Vr-4's turbo'd?
