Default question

I bought a mustang lx that was a 2.3l and was converted to an 5.0. the car runs great and everything but I was wondering if there can be any parts that are still on the car from the 4 cyl that could be weak. The car is a 5 speed. Also when i am going slow in a gear like cruising in a parking lot in 1st gear my car whines a little bit. Any ideas or is it normal? thanks

Default RE: question

a little, very faint gear whine isnt totally unusual in most cars when going low speeds in first gear.

I would check to see what the rear end is on it.. if its still the 7.5" or if its been converted to an 8.8". If its a 7.5 it may be an open diff.. not going to help with traction.. Quick way to tell is to do a burn out somewhere and see if both wheels are leaving marks or not to see if its open..
