can anyone help me or point me to a tech article other than on a msd website cause i need to know where to hook the white wire the trigger wire it says onto something that is plugged into the coil but there isnt anything plugged into the coil aany help is appreciated. Sorry for question but first mustang I'm used to the HONDAS.

If it's a 5.0 you don't use the trigger plug. Thats only for crank triggers. Its been a while but if I remember right you've got red for power , black for ground,'the big one" white and red hook to the original coil wires and orange and black hook to coil. If it's a digital six you gotta cut and seal the white loop of wire. The pink and blue wires are for 2nd stage stall and timing retarding when energized. solder all connections for coil and try too keep them away from other wires. Or get the harness, it just looks better.

The white wire is for points pickup, for anyone still old and archaic enough to use points. If you connect the white wire and the mag trigger pickup wire at the same timethe box will ground itself out and your car won't start. End of story. One thing you can do though is run the white wire to an underdash switch that goes to ground, and you have a security device, when the switch is flipped the box grounds and the car won't run. I do believe that's all in the instructions though

Definitely get the harness....for like $20, it will save you a lot of time, and cutting of your factory wires.
