Default 5ive lug conversion

Well I picked up what I belive are sn95 hubs, spindles, calipers and powerslot rotors for 100 bucks from a guy down the street. I was cleaning them up nad noticed that one of the spindles tie rod ends is straight and the others is curved. From other pictures ive seen, both spindles have straight tie rod ends. Everything else is the same. Will this work or not. I will grab some pics when i get home. Alos the part numbers differ from either side, i believe one is f4Z somthing and the other is f6 or f8. I will get the correct number later with pictures. Thanks.

Ok this is a lot to type but here goes, taken from one of my reference books;

A number of different tie-rod ends were used in Fox Mustang production. The first revision was made for 1982; those rods continued in production through the early part of the 1987 model year (cars built through November 1986). Tie-rods used later during the 1987 model year were unique to that run of vehicles. For 1988 - 89, the 1982 - early 87 rods returned to production. For 1990, new tie-rod ends had their external threaded sections extended vertically (at the knuckles) to correct for bump steer conditions produced by revisions to the K-frame and repositioned lower control arms. The 1993 Cobra R-Model is fitted with Taurus tie-rod ends.

Tie-rod angularity can be compensated for by using the 1990 (and later) tie-rod ends. These ends have vertically extended threaded sections on their spindle/knuckel ends that can compensate for the angularity produced when a vehicle is lowered.

The Taurus tie-rod ends were used to compensate for the R models nearly 3/4" lowered ride height.

Sorry but I don't have any specific information for 94 - later mustangs as they have never really interested me that much, so I can't say if they had a "curved" end or not, guess I should find out cause SN95's can be good parts cars for some items. Also my son wants wants a 95 Gt or Cobra because that was the year he was born.

Hope this helps.

Well I was searching a little more and found a site call sn95brakes. com and found out the 94-95 used the curved steering arm where as the later models used the straight. Both Spindle work when there used together but the straight ends I gues push the track width out a bit. I was wondering maybe if it would be terrible to use these if maybe I get a different tie rod end. Anyways heres the pictures.

Looks to me like they are from different years. One has an ABS exciter ring on it and the other doesn't. (not sure when they started w/ abs on those) SN95 guys where are ya?

Well I went to Ford and had the guy print photos of a 94 and 96 both are the curved ends for these years. Im thinking that maybe the straight one is off of an even newer one. Regardless though, a few people have told me that as long as the arms are the same length that I should be ok, as there is room for suspension movement in the rack and pinion, so I may be able to adjust it for the hieght differences.Also, I believe that the new models, (99+), have a different offset. How can a check if these are the same?
