Loud {HISSSSSSINNNGGGG} Sound?
So after work, I decided to take my car out for a lil spin. Was out for about 10 may be 12 minutes, came back and parked. After I turned the engine off, there was a loud {hissing} sound, that sounded as though it was coming from inside the car! I popped the hood and could hear it much better, coming from the back of the of the engine. What could this be? First time hearing it, last thing done was the transmission mount was changed. After I left the car for about 10 minutes, the sound was gone. I'm sure it's a cooling thing, but from the back of the engine? Near the firewall?????

i'm gonna say maybe the coolant line going from the back of the TB to the back of the lower intake. when it cools down check your coolant level and look for leaks.

Looks like one of the water seals at the back of the engine is leaking. [:@]
Anyway, it's a good reason to pull out the engine and change them all. And since I'm changing seals and the engine is out, what else should I change?
The car is pretty much stock except for a CAI. I was thinking:
Headers, Intake Manifold, upgrading the radiator, underdrive pulleys, adding a turbo kit... Basically anything that will give me the most HP in the low RPM range. What else should I change out that'll give me lots of sweet HP?

water seals????[sm=WTFsgign.gif]you mean freeze plugs??? anyway if that's what you mean.... then there are special tools to change them without pulling motor but if your gonna do that it'll sure make life easier.....so while it's out do an H/C/I swap

Yeah freeze plugs / water plugs - whatever they're called, they're leaking. I filled the radiator up with water and turned the engine on. The water came gushing out the back of the engine. Well, that's an exagerant... it didn't "gush" out, but it's clearly leaking from there.

do a complete overhaul. send the block to a machine shop to get a main bore alignment cam bore alignment the block blue printed and sent back to you. after that do what you want with it. turbo or supercharger which ever you prefer. from there you get an intake heads and cam that work with the forced induction. upgrade the fuel and ignition to support your new set up and youll be kicking some serious ***
