Default How Long to seat new rings?

I had a piston replaced and was wondering what you all think about ring seating. I have done some google-ing and there seems to be as many opinions on techniques and mileage as there are butt-holes. How long should I wait before I start testing the power difference in my new heads?

rings take about 30 minutes to break in so in that 30 minutes you need to do a lot of accelerating and slowing down 3k max rpm. after that do some normal driving for about 30 minutes and then go home and do an oil change. after that your good to rip on it all you want
