well how come you dont foul plugs when the engine is broke in if you let it idle?

NO, you need to break the cam in for any kind of cam. Rule of thumb is to keep the engine at 2000 RPM for 20 min.

i dont know but i would have to say becouse of the fact that the rings arnt seated you will prob get alot of blowby threw the rings on the initial start up

But why???...i always notice the guys on those overhaulin shows never let the car idle for longer than 30secs.

That's because they never show you...lol...

You need to keep the RPM at least above 1400 RPM other wise you can wipe out cam lobes in 10 minutes.

That is why you need to keep the r's up to keep the blowby going out of the motor.
