ive seen modded 4.6's run in the 14's and stock in the 13's
all depends on the driver. stock for stock, a 5.0 could beat a 4.6 if he cant drive.
at the local dragway, theres alot of 4.6's and i usually run exactly with them, if not faster most of the time...

You did not advise if you were auto or manual trans. Get 3.73 or higher gear, performance tune on the ECU and you should be there on stock 4.6's. Do your research and find the cam, heads, and intake that would give you the HP you are looking for and still keep you CA legal.
P.S. Why do you see 4.6 Mustangs as the competition? Isn't there enough GM and Japenese products around CA to race against? Just asking.

Ditto with 92rideagain. Modify your intake to a gt40, heads to a gt40, add a performance chip, Get a racing type cam in there, bolt it back together with a lightened flywheel, performance clutch and aluminum driveshaft. You'll give them a run for their money. My sheat runs 13's easy, but i want twelves. By the way, may have said it before but God i love triple white fox body verts.

I have all bolt ons tw heads tw intake steeda19 cam 4.10's (auto) and my friend has a bolt on gt with 4.10's (manual) and he only beats me by a half a car and my car has a bad valve in the head. Hope that gives u n idea.

My car just has full boltons and I put up a fight against his stock 07 GT. I got the torque but once we got in the upper speeds, he started to walk a bit.
