that and an orange wire were there together OEM, make sure that gets fixed guys and the orange wire is fixed as well.

Have you guys looked,? That is the only BODY GROUND ON A FOX, the other is at the starter.

took off the intake again but cant seem to locate the wire or where it came from. it must be a ground of somekind but every since the first time i took the intake off ,my codes are reading out of limit numbers for : the egr,tps and canister sensors. thats why i thought if someone knew what this wiret did i would persue it more aggressively as if it would solve my code problem or keep on looking forother solutions to the codes.

I would make sure you have a ground strap from the firewall to the head or block, and the tan/orange wire that is the ground for you 02 sensor. I would also clean the snot out of where they are attached(I used sandpaper to get it to bare metal on the block).

i really hate to sound like a total noob but could somebody take a pic of the orange wire. i had some electrical monsters creeping in my car and i think a ground could be the prob and i honestly cant recall seeing the orange wire in particular [>:]

found the problem, and it wasnt the orange wire it was mounted on the bell housing, it seems that in reinstalling the upper intake i sliced two wires in the ten pin wirebundle. engine light is off and all is good thanks for the help if i didnt see that schematic it probably would have taken me longer to find the problem
