if you already have an intake manifold, why buy another.

i would not buy that kit, it doesnt seem too high quality. its a good kit for a very mild build. i would invest in some really good heads and stay with what you got. you should be in the 12s with some AFR 165s and good tires.

how much do a set of those cost, and the intake i have is a gt intake not cobra, and they say it is ford racing products so it doesnt sem like a bad deal, but i want to go as fast as possible cheap as possible and still be reliable

GT40 intake is better than the cobra. its ford racing but again save the money from buying that kit.

get AFR 165 heads for around 1250. those heads will destroy that whole kit.

dude im saving you money, i told you, for 1250 get the AFR 165s and you wont need that whole 1600 dollar kit!!!

the AFRs will put you in the low 12s

that kit will probably put you in the mid to high 12s.

why buy another intake though, you already have a good GT40, the kit has an intake you dont need...

stock manifolds on the 87 were not GT40. i dont know who told you that, unless you know for sure that its a GT40 than by all means get AFR 165s.

IF you have a completely stock engine, then go ahead and by that kit, you should be in good shape. if it was me i would just by the AFR 165s and a used cobra intake off ebay, throw a cam in there and youll be running good ETs for under 1500.
