Default Rocker Noise

Hey guys, I have a set of pro magnum comp cams rockers....when the motor is running its makes a lot of rocker noise? I primed the crap out of the system....its seems like insufficient oil is getting to them....I had to rotate the motor by hand to get oil to all rockers when priming....?Thanks

My rockers were hitting the baffle for the oil filler on my valve cover

Hey guys, I removed the baffle....no rocker contact with covers...I picked a cyl lets say #1 then waited for the exh. valve to move and adjusted that same cyl. intake then I was spun the motor till the intake valve full opened then when it was almost shut I did that cyl exhaust valve...

Did you put any preload on the rockers? I usually put an extra 1/4 turn past 0 lash, some people like more.

Sewing machine? That's a good description. I always thought mine sounded kinda like a deisel at idle, but sewing machine is a better description. Some roller rockers are just noisy

when i did mine they were noisy when i took it down the block but i wanted to check for vacuam leaks look for coolant leaks and such so i let the motor run for about 30 minutes in the driveway while they clacked it wasnt to bad just ticking and such then i took it for a jog up the road then pooped the hood and looked for leaks agian made sure I had done the h/c/i change right so the engine heated up or went thru a heat cycle everything was fine except the ticking rockers. The next day i pulled off the upper and the valve covers and readjusted the rockers know theyare just fine??
Im thinking some of them need to go thru a heat cycle or something??needless to say there fine now???
the only thing I did different was instead of half a turn I went a quarter turn on them someone in here suggested that, it worked for me..
tfs stage one cam, steel roller rockers hope that helps you good luck

I had a full roler solid lift set up on another car. I ajusted the valves a few times and could not get the noises to go away. It was not to bad but still agrevating andI know it sounds a bit stupid but I had a circletrack car that I always ran Lukas Oil extender in ( I run it in every engine I build, and tell everyone I build for to run it). When I did my first oil change I added the lucas, and it shut the noises up, it would start to come back at about 3,000 miles, just change and add agian. So if you cant get it to stop by adjusting try that. Some rockers are just noisy.....
