Repair Floorboard???

I have a 4" split in my floorboard right under the seat. It looks like someone put a jack on that spot and it bent the floorboard up a little and put a nice 4" straight crack down it. How would you suggest to fix it?

Big hammer to beat down any raised spots from the jack, then weld the split together and throw some paint on it and call it done.
