You don't want a roller rocker?? Why is that? I would go with a 1.6 Ratio rocker.. Personally I would go roller. Less friction on the engine. Why no roller?? Any specific reason?

i have seen a lot of motors go because of the roller breaking and i dont want that to happen to me, im setting my new car up for road racing and that is where i have seen them go. Like a guy i know had $11,000
in motor and it was wiped out cose of the roller tip breaking off. that kinda sucks you know?

Wow, that does suck big time! I have never heard of that happening, and I would only suggest buying good name brand roller rockers such as FRPP, or Crane, etc.. Dont get proform rockers or anything like that. They seem very cheaply made to me and are just sitting on a hook at out local speed shop. Most of the well made parts they have to get from behind the desk. Seems that way at my shop anyways. www.re-racing.com is a link to my shop.

I have the 1.6 Trickflow Roller Rockers. They are pretty good. About $ 245.00

thousands of serious racers use roller rockers.. i never heard of them going bad all of a sudden really, maybe that time was a fluke.

well you need to find out first what your cam's lift is based on a 1.6 or 1.7.....rollers are the only way to go.....they have less wear cut down on friction meaning a few ponies and are very relyible........I'm sure the guys car that went south was using a very high lift cam or running excessive rpm
