Default Timing?

I have a 95 cobra with all the bolt ons exhaust tfs heads, tfs intakes, tfs stage 1 cam etc.I see alot of guys with 87-93 mustangs running with 14-15 degrees.I have mine at 18.was wondering if there was that much difference between those years or am i way to high? i know the 94-95 mustangs had computer changes etc.with 18 degrees it runs fine? Also i have installed a nx express and am starting out with 75 shot then will go up from there.at 75 should i retard the timing mostly what i hear is only 100 an up.Also i am installing now the msd digital 6 to help retard with the nx.anyone have any experience with the msd unit?

I put in the blaster coil also seemed to run an idle smoother. did you cut the green wire loop on the digital-6 when you installed ?I am hooking it up to my nx kit but i am doing something wrong when i activate the nos switch it does not retard the timing but when i open throttle all the way it stalls and then is hard too keep idle?

18* is pushing it, although you do have just a 9:1 motor and forged pistions... I think you'd get some sort of detonation with that much.... and NO you should not run higher than stock timing with any shot of nitrous... but... you could probably get away with a 75 shot at 12* and 100 at 10* with 93 octane if you've got *****
