use the atricle that ryan_89_mustang showed you. thats the one i used. it took me 4hrs to do it by myself. and it was my first time ever doing it. just take ur time and organize the screws. when it gets to the plastic part where the heater core is you gotta use some force to get that deep socket in there to hold it open. but other than that its easy. just remember leave the center screw in and take ALL the other ones out b 4 you remove that one as the dash is pretty heavy. i forgot to take one of the ones under the steering column out and i took the middle one out and i had some trouble getting it back up to put that screw back so i could take the one i forgot out (if that makes sense to you) just read that article and reference back to it when needed. good luck

okay guys i started this project thursday... 4 hours later i had the dash dropped and was ready to take the core out... 1 hour spent friday scratching my head and *** how to keep the black box open so i can yank teh core... finally becoming so fustrated i took a pair of plyers and ripped the cover into pieces... that was all in an hours time...spent about an hour today got the new heater core in and connected and i got heat...

my problem now is that the box cover is in pieces, anything i can use to throw over the heater core? cardboard? tape? i got a "modular" box in my room i could mayyybe cut up and just tape the **** out of it. any one ever do this lol...

also remember to flush the coolant as it can cause accelerated wear on the cooling system(heater core etc) from electrolysis
