after im done with my suspension i want to build a motor. Im wanted to know what is a good block that i can bore to a 331 stroker? I want it to handle about 350-400 N/A and then a SC later. Also is Hawks Racing parts any good or not?

A stock 5.0 block will be able to handle up to 600hp to the crank before failing. It can be stroked to a 331. stroking it and boring it .030" over. You can even go up to 349 if you use a longer stroke and bore it to .040" Stick with a 331 the connecting rod pin stays out of the oil rings in the piston. Oppossed to how 347s have the pin intercepting the oil rings causing more oil consumption. I bought a 331 Comp Hawk crank and rods. and probe pistons but I dont know how they run. I have it on an engine stand still. Just dont go through D&D motorsports I had to many problems with them. I heard good things about DDS, try them.

Good it can handle 600HP im looking for about 500HP when im done. I can get stock blocks easy
