Default T-Top

Hi everyone,

I have a mustang 87 t-top, i want to create something to place my t-top near my sub and my ampli. A case where my t-top are safe, i just would like to know if you have some picture, to have a better idea how i can do this case.

Thanks for your help.
Yan Viau.

I am trying to figure out a way to make a storage compartment in the spare tire hole. No ideas yet though.

I cut a piece of mdf to mirror the outline of the floor in the hatch area and placed it under the carpet but above the spare tire's wood cover. Then mounted my amplifier on the right side of the trunk area facing front to back length wise and with anchors below the mdf screwed the amplifier through the carpet into the mdf. I place my t tops under the sub box with the pivot handles toward the rear of the car stacked on top of each other and place the sub box on top of them to keep them in place. I still use the t top belt to keep them from moving front to back. I only have a single 12" sub in a sealed enclosure so it isn't too big to move around. If I need to access the spare tire, the mdf and carpet just lift up from the back like it's hindged behind the back seat. Works reasonably well for me, but, it's still a compromise. No a lot of room left in the trunk area

I've been thinking of where to store my t-tops, too, and the idea i came up with is to cut out some fleece type material (the one they make blankets out of and stuff) in the shape of my t-tops, and sew the pieces together to make two sleeves (one for each) and mount them to the frame somehow.
