I have a Pro5.0 with stock handle. Handle length makes a difference in shft throw or or quick it shifts. I'ts simple physics. The shifter is a lever like a seesaw. The longer the lever, the longer the throw. I've had cars with Hurst, Tri-Ax and now the Pro5.0. I don't see a lot of difference between 'em. But, I'm a granny driver. Just HATE to break stuff. I'm looking for a longer handle to put on the Pro5.0. Something like an old chrome Hurst. Just want to change the look and put the **** closer to me.

I have the hurst and thought it was decently short but found it tough to get into second. So Iinstalled the chrome shifter stick package they sell for '83-'86 mustangs which comes with the stick, ball, rubber boat and trim panel. It became much easier to hit second because of the increased leverage from the longer stick but now my throws are about as long as stock because the radius of the arm is so long. Though I do like the look of the the white ball and chrome stick in a black on black on black car.
