i got a 91 lx with 118,000 miles on it. im lookin to get a new clutch because this one is roasted and i beleive its the original. anyone know what i should get for a clutch, im looking for some more performance, but i dont want my leg to die shifting around town, its my everyday driver,and wats a price range for gettin it replaced? im also looking to get new exhuast, i might be able to get a sticker without cats, so anyone know whats the best sounding/performance for exhuast? high flow cats? xpipe orhpipe? headers? mufflers?

it could cost 6-700 at most shops just in labor alone to replace the clutch. there are all kinds of different clutches out there as well as exhaust. it all depends on how deep ur pockets are..................................

im just lookin for some peoples opinions on brands, and types of exhuast..both are gone and need to be replaced so pockets are gonna be emptied on it. just seein if any1 has any experiance with buying these things

I have a Spec stage II clutch (according to the previous owner) and it shifts great and grabs firm. the pedal isnt too bad either. Spec is usually the way to go.

as for exhaust, its all on prefrence... depends on what you want, do you want an X pipe or an H pipe? there are tons of different brands.... my vert has a prochamber catless x-pipe and unknown mufflers that turn out right infront of the rear wheels... that will change sooner or later, I want an SLP catback, but its so gosh darn expensive

i think that the x pipe sounds more mean than the h but its debatable. you can type in off road h or x on youtube and it gives you a few clips you can lwatch/listen too. in my opinion and obnoxiously lound exaust would be aftermarket headers, o/r pipe of somekind, and an slp catback or custom striaght pipes. with that set up you are basicaly eliminating any resriction like cats and mufflers.

Brian, I am not too far south of you. I live in Rhode Island.

A clutch is about a 2 hour job. Expect to pay between $500-$700 for the job, including the price of the clutch itself. If you are interested in getting it done, PM me and I could do it for you in an afternoon.
