try opening the door(pulling the handle) while closing the door. If you're outside, lift the handle and push door in. I really have no idea, just a suggestion...

Yea you buy a new accuator for your locks once you get it open. but like mrdeep said just pull/push on the door and open it at the same time from the inside. or do the same from the outside and try wiggling your key to try and unlock it. maybe push open the little flap in your lock and spray some pb blaster in it too. it may just be the locking cylinder froze.

ive got the same problem on my passenger door, but its stuck on the unlock. It WONT lock, i cant force the stripped metal peice down, and i cant lock it with the automatic door lock. Sooooo no one break into my car!! or if you do, only try the drivers side, cuz that part locks LOL. I think its the door lock actuator, there really cheap, and im gonna have my mechanic look at it hopefully wednesday when he install my proportioning valve. Good luck mate, it sucks when its stuck in the LOCKED postion. Wish ya the best.

mine froze in the up position i removed the door panel disconnected the accuator and just have manual locks the fox is narrow enoung i can just give the inside door handle a tug to unlock it and normally i just leave it unlocked anyways its alot cheaper to replace a 100$cd player that it is to replace the top(quickest and quietest way in my car being a vert)

STUPID ACTUATORS! lol i currently have my door panels off because i had the same problem.
to get it to open you need to do this:
With the window open and the key in the door lock, wiggle the key left and right as if you are locking and unlocking it. at the same time, reach in to the inner door handle and continuously open it. The two actions should eventually dislodge the lock and your door will open. REPLACE THE ACTUATORS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Take it to a car stereo shop and have them install new door lock actuators. The actuator should be less than $30 and labor should be around $75 per door.
